Notice on Holding the CIN 2021 Academic Annual Conference

All units concerned:
In order to give full play to the innovation-driven role of maritime science and technology, and build a cross-field, cross-sector, multi-level and multi-channel academic exchange platform, CIN will hold the CIN 2021 Academic Annual Conference in Ningbo, Zhejiang province from December 12 to 13 according to the work arrangement, and will issue the navigation science and technology award in the opening ceremony. The specific arrangements are notified as follows:

(I) The opening ceremony of the CIN 2021 Annual Academic Conference & Navigation Science and Technology Award Ceremony
Time: Dec. 12, 14:00 p.m.-17:00 p.m.
Place: conference room, 2ndfloor, wing building of China Classification Society Zhejiang Branch

(II) Academic paper group exchange meeting

Content: The authors of excellent papers will give speeches in groups and answer questions from experts and present participants (15 minutes/ paper).
The authors of excellent papers this year will be invited to attend the conference (see Annex 1 for the list of candidate paper authors) to compete for awards. After the conference, the information of award-winning papers will be published and announced on the website of CIN according to the results reviewed by the expert committee, in line with relevant procedures of “Measures of CIN Science and Technology Award”.
(III) Exhibition of navigation science and technology achievements
Time: Dec. 11 to 13
Place: China Classification Society Zhejiang Branch
Content: Focus on the award-winning results of the China navigation science and technology award from 2018 to 2020, as well as the outstanding results of the Ministry of Transport's major science and technology innovation achievement library.
(IV) Concurrent closed meeting
(i) Editorial board meeting held by “Navigation of China” and “Maritime Technology”

(ii) The first meeting of the Science Popularization Committee of CIN

V. Other matters
1. Registration system. Participants are welcome to register at the registration system entrance of the “CIN 2021 Annual Academic Conference & Navigation Science and Technology Award Conference”

2. Registration and payment. The annual academic conference will charge for registration fee which is 2000yuan for non-members (except for invited experts), and 1600 yuan for members. Authors participating in the paper exchange lectures should confirm with the contact person after registration on the website in order to arrange the lecture time. Please note that the lecture’s quota will be limited.
3. Conference accommodation. The accommodation is to be arranged at the Pan Pacific Hotel Ningbo (No. 99 Min'an East Road, Yinzhou District, Ningbo) at participants’ own expense.
4. If the event cannot be held offline due to the pandemic, it will be held online at the same time, and specific arrangements will be announced in advance.
