According tothe Charter of Nautical Think Tank in China, Nautical Think Tank plans to select Research Fellows in the near future to form a normalized backbone team of China Nautical Think Tank, mainly to carry out the research on major annual topics and hot emergency projects of Nautical Think Tank in China, the drafting of suggestions and organization management of think tank.
I.Purpose and significance
As the backbone of China’s Nautical Think Tanks, research fellows are also an important channel for all units to cultivate maritime science and technology talents and leading talents, which is of great value to the construction of discipline capacity and academic echelon. A small number of research fellows need to undertake the daily organization and management responsibilities of China’s Nautical Think Tank, which can train their organization and management ability. All units should attach great importance to the recommendation of research fellows, introduce corresponding measures to actively support the work of research fellows, and record the workload of research fellows in China’s Nautical Think Tank into their work performance.
II. Requirements
Research fellows should have a clear research direction, put forward project suggestions in time, and actively accept the research tasks arranged by China’s Nautical Think Tank. They should be equipped with the following basic conditions:
1. Love navigation career and have good political literacy;
2. There are eight major directions: Ship Engineering, Water Transport Engineering, Maritime Security, Maritime Law, Techno-economics, Safety Emergency, Green Environmental Protection and Maritime Culture;
3. Have at least 5-year working experience in their field;
4. Researchers with doctoral degree or vice-senior title or above are preferred.
III. Recommendation and submission
All units concerned are required to recommend qualified researchers according to the above eight major directions and their business fields and research advantages. According to the recommendation, office of the management committee will select a team of 1-2 researchers from each direction to form a team of no more than 20 researcher fellows. After confirmation, the list will be published on the website of CIN. CIN shall implement corresponding assessment management measures for researcher fellows, record their assessment indicators according to workload and work achievements, commend and encourage outstanding researcher fellows.
Please fill in the registration form (see Annex) and send the Word version and scanned copy to the office of Management Committee of China’s Nautical Think Tank before March 15.
