A “four-leaf clover,” showcasing the world. On November 5th, the 6th China International Import Expo arrived as scheduled, drawing the world's attention to China once again in the golden autumn of Shanghai.
Since the first China International Import Expo in 2018, the expo's “circle of friends” has continued to expand, and its influence worldwide has been growing stronger. This year's expo, themed “A New Era, Shared Future”, will run until November 10th.
The exhibition covers an area of about 367,000 square meters and has attracted guests from 154 countries, regions, and international organizations, with over 3,400 registered exhibitors. More than 70 countries and international organizations are participating in national exhibitions, spanning five continents, including 11 countries making their debut and 34 countries participating offline for the first time.
China Communications Construction, China Eastern, China Southern, Airbus and other transport enterprises brought a variety of intelligent equipment, showcasing high-quality development and premium services, impressing observers. As Shanghai's largest home base airline, China Eastern continues to support the China International Import Expo(CIIE) with its service philosophy of "precision, refinement, meticulousness and brilliance" this year.
China Eastern opened a priority check-in counter for CIIE attendees at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to provide convenient services.
To better serve trade missions, purchasers, exhibitors and professional visitors, China Eastern, in collaboration with the China International Import and Export Bureau launched the " Eastern Import Expo " section on its WeChat mini program. During the CIIE, passengers could enjoy "CIIE Benefits" for flight services, flexible refundable products, and value-added services through the " Eastern Import Expo " section. China Eastern also set up 27 priority check-in counters at airports in 24 cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Kunming, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Qingdao, providing priority check-in services for both domestic and overseas participants.
Among the participating countries, Honduras made its debut, bringing delicious items such as coffee, cocoa, fruits and seafood; Finland, themed around "Happy Home" in Nordic style, showing its unique minimalist design with Finnish characteristics; Fiji's booth ingeniously recreated a beach scenery, offering a refreshing experience for visitors...The small exhibition booths opened up "big markets", and the CIIE also became a truly international public product shared by the whole world.
To fully escort the CIIE of this year, and provide more refined services to cope with large passenger flows, the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission continuously optimized the traffic protection measures.
The P5 parking lot near the National Exhibition and Convention Center(NECC) served as a hub for ground transportation, connecting the nearby metro station and parking lots around the venue. During the CIIE, prominent signs were placed to guide passengers to the Bus No. 71 Interval Extension Line, and buses traveled between Huangpi North Road Station and the P5 parking lot; while Bus No.121 extended to the P8 parking lot. Passengers holding a valid ID for the CIIE could take the buses of both routes for free.
In terms of rail transportation, the three rail lines arriving at the NECC were equipped with the highest capacity, with real-time communication and dynamic scheduling between the metro operator and the exhibition organizers.
To facilitate information access for foreigners regarding shuttle services and dining options during the CIIE, the service platform "MaaS" also set up an English service interface in the CIIE service section.
