On September 22, 2016, the 9thChina International Rescue & Salvage Conference organized by China Rescue and Salvage Association (CRSA) was held in Ningbo. Director Huang Youfang attended the Conference and delivered a speech. More than 30 distinguished guests participated in the Conference including Xu Zuyuan, former Director of CIN, Song Jiahui, Director of China Diving & Salvage Contractors Association, Wang Zhenliang, Director of China Rescue and Salvage Association and Bruce Reed, Secretary General of the International Maritime Rescue Federation. Besides, a total number of 270 colleagues in the field of rescue & salvage attended this Conference.
In the opening ceremony, Director Huang delivered a speech on behalf of CIN. He fully affirmed the constructive achievements made by the Association with its distinctive professional features, active communication platform and outstanding academic accomplishment for 33 years since its establishment. He also expressed his earnest hope to the Association to consolidate achievements and maintain steady development. He encouraged the Association to maintain and develop CIRSC, an academic communication brand with unique and influential features in the field of rescue & salvage at home and abroad. At the same time, he pointed out that the Association should further strengthens its self-construction and play a more leading and exemplary role through self-pressurization in deepening academic development as well as cooperation and exchanges.
The 9th CIRSC lasted for two days, including 3 keynote speeches and 20 forum ones. A small professional equipment exhibition was also held along with the Conference. A total of 24 exhibitors showed the related equipment and products.
The Introduction of CIRSC
Since its founding in 2004, CIRSC has been successfully held for eight times. It is one of the most important international rescue & salvage events in the field of maritime rescue, salvage, ocean engineering and diving. CIRSC aims to exchange experience, strengthen understanding, promote the mutual exchange of needed products, enhance cooperation and mutual development. In the good atmosphere of “communication, exchange, friendship and prospect”, the participants can exchange academic views, show the ability of rescue & salvage and also introduce new technologies, new achievements and new products. CIRSC has gained a positive response in the rescue & salvage institutions and professional enterprises at home and abroad. It has also attracted the active participation of more and more foreign colleagues in the field of rescue & salvage. Now CIRSC has developed into a unique cross-sectoral, cross-functional, cross-regional and cross-border academic exchange platform in rescue & salvage.
